Comprehensive Housing Counseling

EOA Savannah provides a number of housing counseling services. Services include the following: loss mitigation (foreclosure prevention), rental counseling (eviction prevention, rental search assistance), reverse mortgage counseling (for senior home owners), budgeting, money management and financial literacy. The program also provides mortgage documentation review for existing mortgagors. Funding for the program is provided by Community Services Block Grant, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, United Way (FEMA-Rent and Mortgage Assistance), and the City of Savannah (Emergency Shelter Grant-Rent and Mortgage Assistance for Savannah Residents). The Housing Counseling Program has been a HUD approved Housing Counseling agency since 1976.
